    the inlet filter needs to be twice the size of the extractor filter. we did a 'proper' booth extractor system at a place i worked and that's what we were told by the system suppliers. it stops the fan drawing air/dust in through any little gaps round doors, corners etc that may not fully seal as there is enough air getting in through the inlet filters.
