hello mate i got some high temp contact adhesive from ebay item 220463087601 cost £15 ltr last year but its cheaper now but sticks like sht to a blanket , i used it for my door seals on my mk2 consul i used a thin piece of plastic to apply just put a thin coat around the door and a smear to the rubber seal and waited 5 mins to let it tack off .i put the seal in place that was it ,stuck first time and because its high temp the heat dont effect it (blistering english weather ) like it did on my first atempt using a standard contact adhisive (alpha crap) good luck bud hope this helps . regards wayne ........ ps its also good for any trim /dashtops /doorcards/ or carpets .

Gluing pieces of foam rubber together can be tricky at times. When regular glue just won't cut it, you may need to resort to Gorilla Glue!
But not sure if they sell it over here......

    Hi Vince,

I have just used the Alpha () hi temp stuff from Woolies on some interior foam stuff.
Cos of the low roof (it hurts if you don't spot a speed bump and launch yaself over it) I glued foam straight on, then headlining.
    Still up after a week

I was just about to ask em what one of their glues were suitable for rubber door strips! (on to cellulose)

I did the trip round the DIY stores and they have very little, and that's behind a counter to stop the 'sniffers'.

CBS are honest and say their glue's no good for rubber on to cellulose.

    cheers

Be careful not to put too much Sikaflex on if you use it as it's a complete bugger to remove any overspread, trust me, I know. It also stays on your hands for 2 days at least!

You can use masking tape to avoid any over"spray".

3M weatherstrip adhesive designed for the job. OCW at Perivale used to sell it I think.
