    Headers please?

Who supplies fenderwell headers for a '57 Chevy with a 350 fitted; or do you have to have them made?

    Thanks,
    Micky T.

most of the major header manufacturers make them, the problem is as allways the shipping, import dutys, vat, courier charges, handling charges,[i think your getting the picture by now] probably dearer than having a set made locally, i,m after a set myself, these are my findings,

Speak to Miles at Jackhammer...He's sold a few sets recently. He will no doubt be along shortly to explain!

    Re: Headers please?

The ones I supply are made by Sanderson especially for the tri 5's. They were expensive but looked and performed great. Tim Bowman and his son Beau have them on their gassers if you want a closer look.

    Re: Headers please?

The story is, I've got a '57 Chevy gasser coming in from Oregon which has got a tuned 350ci in it, it's a very period looking car with some 'of the day' parts on it. I gonna try and keep to the builders spec so as to not spoil what he set out to achieve, it just looks so cooool, so a set of white fenderwell headers that go up and over the steering box etc, exit through the inner wings and end up dumping the fumes under the front fenders. This hopefully can be uncorked and the rest run the length of the car. A full system will have to be done but the headers are the first step, I don't mind having them made; but who does that?

    Thanks for the reply.
Will the cars be at Drayton this w/end?

The cars won't be there i'm afraid as one is still being built and the other is on display in my shop!!! Why don't you give me a call as these headers are exactly what you describe.

    Re: Headers please?

I built a set for mine when I went that way using a kit of bends and header flange plates.Go onto ebay there are people that bend them or look in the mags over here.

I've tried that, but the length of time it would take is against us, besides, I've got him to do a few jobs for me already and I don't want to push my luck.
