Help. I've rounded an Allen head bolt.

Allen key slipped when trying to loosen a bolt.
Any suggestions for removing it without damaging the alloy hub it is fastened into?

Would welding an Allen key to it carefully work.

    Thumbs up

Great get you out the mire tips

If possible I would also apply heat, support the back and give a big clump with club hammer on the head. My old CAT engineer friend did this and stunned anything in to surrender

I need to get the threaded part out.
I think that will make it harder.

Thanks to everyone for your help.
The bolt is in a fairly expensive bike hub, so probably try the torx bit then the welded nut.
Did think of hacksawing a slot and using a big screwdriver. Might also try that.
