    help needed rover v8

    Hi all can anyone help with info on rover v8 can u use pistons and rods from a 13.1 engine and fit into a 10.5-1 engine would the crank have to be used and r the heads different on these engines cheers

    Its a bit short on info here, Rover never built an engine with 13-1 comp, 10.5 pistons were fitted to the 3.5 p5 & P6,

    yes they did it was for the australian market only

    This looks like a typo. Do you mean 8.13:1 comp ratio.
    If so these are low compression pistons and can be fitted to the crankshaft and give you 8.13:1 ratio with standard heads

    Was this the 4.4 litre P76 Rover? If so it was not a very high comp ratio and the power was not much more than the 3.5 engines but the torque was greater.
