    hood hinge recommendations

Hi all, My hood at the moment hinges in the middle like a pop. I would like to weld it together and fill as a one piece but would like it hinging like a conventional bonnet i.e hinging from the back.
I have done a rough diagram it's not to scal, or anything. The problem is it is Vee shape and so I need a pair of hinges that lift as it opens, I would really like them to mount on the bulkhead if possible, the bulhead line is the broken one in the diagram.
I know 37 fords open like this but they are hinged at the furthest point at the side of the hood and I have no room in this area. Has anyone done this mod ?

why not look at a local scrappy for something that moves how you want then draw up a hinge plate with the relevent pivot points to bollt to the bulkhead and get it lazer cut, its not that expensive. if you get stuck on design give me a shout, i can also point you in the direction of a good lazer cutting company (i hate lazer but it is the cheapest option)

MK1-2 escort bonnet hinges might work and they are reasonably small

Thanks Digger, I went on Ebay this morning and bought a couple of pairs of cheap Ford ones that looked about right, I will have a play about with them.

I bought a pair of Escort ones off ebay and I think they will do the job, it's quite a simple mod if they don't quite clear.
