in the old days of copper wire and make your own leads there were 90 degree plug caps that screwed into the leads maybe new old stock?
seem to remember having some leads that were crimped plug caps but werelike a tube of metal crimped to the wire lead with more than half the tube cut away to allow you to bend them 90 degrees this was under the rubber obviously and I wouldn't have seen this unless when removing the lead I pulled the rubber up the lead and could see how it was made, maybe worth peeling back the rubber to have a look? maybe you could bend them somehow anyway??????
I have a big hammer you can borrow
