    locker type diff (9in)

    what type of locking diff would you recomend for a 9in in a morris minor with 400sbc .th350 .lightweight body....i want to use on the street .go to shows .but want something to lock up when i go racing ..what do you think cheers ian

    If I could afford one I'd go for a Detroit locker but only cos big bro has one and is the only one I know

    Detroit Locker is fairly harsh in action and tends to be either on or off rather than progressive.
    Clutch type lsd works well and progressively on the street but suffers at high hp levels.
    True Trac is a really good all around mechanical lsd and will take more power than a clutch type diff.
    I currently use a True Trac.

    I replaced the clutch pack LSD in my truck with a Detroit TrueTrack , really pleased with it.

    thanks for the feedback everybody..spoke to hausers today & they recomend tru trac ..but they sell them anyway ..but its £475 +vat +fitting .so on the lookout for a used one cheers
