    Mk2 Zod/Zep/Con Door Rubbers ??????

Does anyone know what Mk2 Zodiac door rubbers should look like ie Shape etc. I have a set of rubbers, but they seem to be abit bulky to me, fitted one & the door has a hell of a job closing ????

    Any pictures would much appreciated.

    Thank you
    Bob

the proper ones are huge and in twenty odd years of messing around with mk2s i have never managed to get them to work without it looking like the doors were open ! you can get from woolies and various other suppliers a three sided rubber about half inch wide with one curved side and hollow, if you stick that all around it works quite well and the doors fit...

Bob - If you still have problems, I think East Kent Trim Supplies do some but I don't know how good they are. They're still available from Oz from places like Scotts Old Auto Rubber.

I'll have a look in the garage at the weekend to see if I still have the old ones I took off the Zodiac and will take a shot of them if I do.

Sorry Bob, can't find them. Must have been binned when I stripped the doors; I remember they were tatty seals. Sorry!

Kc55 has the right idea. The orginals are 2 piece, one on the door and one on the frame. The new replacments are either slightly bigger or made of a stiffer rubber.Total waste of time and money.
