    Oil filter advice

I'm rebuilding my racing car at the moment, and after making some changes I'm really struggling for room to fit some of the ancillary bits in the tiny amount of space I have available.

The car has a Mocal remote oil filter head which has a 3/4" x 16 UNF thread. In the past, I've always used Ford Pinto spin on filters on this.

But I need to use a smaller diameter filter (max diameter around 3.5") doesn't really matter how deep it is within reason. Any suggestion would be most welcome.

    Thanks for looking.
    Stuart.

If I remember right that a Pinto filter's the same as an Essex one, the banger boys use a Renault filter to save it getting smashed off, think it's from a Renault 5.
How'd the weekend go? Well, at the moment it looks like a dolphin that's been caught in a boats propeller.

K&N HP-3001 is 93 mm dia, which is just over 3.5", but it is a quality filter that has good flow. It's about 148 mm overall depth, , including the hex bit on the end.

while faffing about changing the oil on my harley i tried the old harley filter on the spare pinto block sat there, and it spun straight on, so a possibility could be a filter for a harley sportster and woo hoo you can get them with a (crap) chrome finish
