    Paint for a bike frame, whats the best option? ( hard wearing wise)

    Ive been told using primer then some thing like hammerite smooth is about as good as it gets, what do you reckon? It can be spray or brush. thanks

    i've used black smoothrite in both aerosol and brush on before. i slightly thin the brush on and it flows better losing virtually all the brush marks, plus it'll go on thicker than the spray can will. either is good though.

    Don't forget to scuff the primer once dry or you may have adhesion issues.

    Mbike with oils n **** involved then forget rattle can high st ****e.
    Mail order cans with resistant laquer ( all Halfrauds shelf stuff do not work - thru experience).

    Spray and forget with mail order stuff.
