    Pinto Help

Hi guys hoping someone here can help me out with what should be a fairley simple thing, bought the pinto in bits and have re-built it just went to finish it today by putting the cambelt on, and its not the right one,, no problems i do have a correct one. Only thing is i now cant get the crank pulley off again. Ive used heat and a hub puller but all ive managed to do id bent the pulley bolt. Any help greatley appreciated

Normally they get stuck on due to the water pump leaking straight on top of it but as you have only just put it together it should come off with the puller

All i used to use was a pair if tyre levers behind it and lever them off in a rocking motion EVENTUALLY even the hardest ones would give with a tap of the hammer while levering

    Good luck

If it's a Sierra Pinto then it normally needs a puller, if it's a double pulley it WILL need a puller.

The problem with the tyre levers is that there is an awful lot of ali behind the pulley.

Yep its the double pulley, think i'll give it a go with the pulley and try lever it from behind as well, if not might have to end up cutting it off.
