    Pop wheels

I want to find someone who can do the period mod of fitting 15" rims onto my Pop centres. I have spoken with a few companies who have said they can't and a very well known steel wheel company who hasn't returned emails or calls in close to 10 days.

I have VW wheels, the stud spacing is incorrect, and I don't want to use them, as it's a bodge. But thanks for the suggestion.

Tttools make wheel adapters, you could go from the pop pcd to whatever wheel you want.
If you're running the standard pop steering and suspension I don't think a smaller wheel will clear the running gear. I was looking to do something similar but there didn't look to be much if any clearance. It may work if the wheel is spaced away from the hub.

Banded wheels Essex as seen on wheeler dealers

Thanks Paul, Banded wheels have said they can't do this task. This is not a rod as such, and does use Pop components. The period mod was called a Bellamy Wheel, just as I want to do as per post #1.

Thinking of it as a ballamy wheel you need to look at 15" 'in period' rims to see what is the closest fit . It's realtively easy to do but generally the hardest part is separating the old rims / centres.

Hillman minx rims on mine but if you want the Ballamy look they would need to have some holes drilled around. Minx wheels need the correct spherical seat nuts (Speedy Spares have them). Tony Russell wrote the Ballamy book "Out In Front" and he is a mine of information. He may even know of some genuine wheels.
Greatest discombobulations to all my readers.

You can fit VW wheel to a Pop safely by restudding the drum to a 205mm PCD it has been done before

That is the style I am after, but not too bothered if it isn't authentic looking, however I do want the correct stud spacing with the wheels/drums. As there are 4 to do I thought it might be easier to do the wheels rather than the drums. It seems I may be wrong. Getting the rims off is not the issue as the centres need to be reduced in diameter to suit the rims anyway. Ballamy wheel was exactly this, ie Ford Pop centre with 15" outer grafted on.
I am appreciating all the input, thanks to all.
Thanks for the note about "Out in Front", I have just ordered one on line, now to find Tony!
