it easy enough if you find the correct size hoop . these are ford 10.25 inch pcd centres with merc sprinter hoops .

    adapter is 10.25 to 205 .. you won't need

Getting the rims off is not the issue as the centres need to be reduced in diameter to suit the rims anyway. Ballamy wheel was exactly this, ie Ford Pop centre with 15" outer grafted on.
I am appreciating all the input, thanks to all.
Thanks for the note about "Out in Front", I have just ordered one on line, now to find Tony!
pm me your email address and I will ask him to contact you. Hillman Minx rims are 15" and fit straight on. Chrome hub caps are available. If you find any Ballamy wheels I suggest you immediately buy a lottery ticket.

BAllamy wheels are extinct as far as I know. I had a set on a Ford Rochdale in the 60s/70s that came with the car. I found some hub caps in the breakers at Waltham Cross (Jones) when all the cars there were classics. I think the caps were from a Bentley or something of that ilk. Unless you are very lucky only way now is make your own.

. As usual, depends on condition and how much someone is prepared to pay unless seller doesn't know what they've got and you get a bargain. IMHO it isn't likely you will find any unless YOU have some in the garage? I don't think Ballamys were cobbled up but instead made to his own pattern. I have seen some newer rims with a similar hole pattern (decorative) around the centre section but that's no good to this thread. My opinion still is make your own using Minx rims as is or drill them or get someone with an engineering shop to do it. I think the Minx rim was also used on Rootes group commercials as they use same hub caps. I reckon if you put 12 x 3/4" holes around the centre part and fit easily available caps you would have what most people would see as Ballamy wheels. There is an old advert picture in Tony Russell's book. By the way, Tony was loaned all Ballamy's records and photos by his family in compiling the book. He was a very interesting man of his time.
