possible dumb radiator qeustion but here goes........

could a radiator that has top and bottom hose connectors on the right hand side be mounted upside down so they are then efectivly left side, obviously the water tanks are either end and not on top, mounting pegs are the same top and bottom, or am i being simply daft!

    cheers, paul

Would have thought the only problem would be if it has a fan switch in it, as it could be in the wrong place, but if you are not using that, then sounds OK if the mountings can be worked out.

has neither of the above, very basic but just what we need, could be mounted in its original place, but we,d have to run pipes across the engine, as opposed to having short pipes if we mounted it upside down, has a remote filler neck spliced into the top hose by the way

I did it with a volvo 240 that sprung a leak at the bottom when on holiday in cornwall, rotated the rad 180 degrease so the hole was at the top and drove it around for months after. Worked fine.

Then cannot see a problem as I have an 94LT1 and they run reverse flow ,so my rad is running opposite.
