    powder coating a water pump

    hi all im thinking of powdercoating my waterpump on my car but it has to be baked at 180 degrees for 10-15mins is there anything in the pump, etc. thats gona get damaged thanks, paul.

    Cant see a problem as the Running temperature of the water in the engine is around 180 deg f.

    180 degrees Celcius is powder coat tempertures !!! more like 200 C really

    180 degrees F is about 82 deg C

    180 degrees C is 350 in deg F

    Pretty Sure you will need to remove all seals at the very least

    Be careful as I think you may [email protected] it up !
