    Rad height

At which height should the rad be mounted ........ The cap is on the rad should that be higher than the thermostat housing or would it be ok to mount it lower but have a remote filler at the stat housing

The best position is the cap a minimum of a 2 hoses thickness above the stat .( leaves room for expansion within the tank ). If you mount the rad lower then you will need a filler plug on the rad plus an expansion pipe linked up to overflow tank , with staggered pipe heights within it , and back to 'stat filler neck.
