Modded Explorer spring perches with the old shock mounts welded on.

They're off to the power coaters now.

The handbrake has also been sorted.

As I bought 3 axles I have spare perches to get the car back on the floor temporarily.

All that's left now is the brake line and we're done!

Nearly there! It's the little bits that take the time.
If I wasn't meant to go that fast, the pedal would only go half way!

    They sure do!

My Dad's mate sorted the brake lines today and bled the brakes. The pedal is nice and firm now. Just waiting for the leaf perches to come back from powder coating. In the meantime we have spare perches to get the car back on all fours.
Final axle job is to connect the handbrake at the handbrake end.
After that is continuing with the rear wings.

Sorry to question, but shouldn't the perches be welded to the axle? From your description it seems you are having the perches loose?

Hi Mark, perhaps I have my terminologies wrong but by 'perches' I mean the steel plate under the leaf springs that also function as the shock mounts. So no these are just bolted in place with the u bolts. The modded perches are being powder coated so the ones in the pic are practice modded spares.
