    Rear lights staying on

My rear lights are staying on all the time even If I pull the headlight fuse. If I remove the brakelight fuse they'll go off. I'm thinking it must be a feed coming from the brakelight power but why isn't the headlights coming on to? Thanks

Most problems start with a bad earth. Or maybe your tail light is being back fed from the brake bulb holder??? If you are getting a short from a dodgy rear light fitting. Am I making sense? I know what I mean

Depends what vehicle it is on. It is sounds like a faulty brake light switch with the contacts closed all the time.

Take the lenses off and use a meter across the live on the holders and see if there is continuity. And check live to earth while you are at it

I've been sitting here trying to rattle my brain as to what kit it is (I'm 50 on Monday) It's wired so brakelight/indicator & rear lights are all in the original red light. Brake light switch is the original type that has a small lever that's operated by the movement of the pedal arm on bulkhead

Congratulations for Monday, What's 50 got to do with it anyhow, 50 is the new 30 so you are still a spring chicken man . Have you just installed this new wiring loom or has it been in a while and the problem has just occurred.
