    Rover gm180 driveplate issues

    Hi everyone just joined the site could you fellas help me out please, does anyone know the correct thickness of the spacer that goes behind the drive plate on a rover v8 gm180 gearbox, I'm pulling my hair out trying to find any information about it, I just need an exact size so I can get one machined up, as I really can't seem to find a spacer any where also does any one know where I could source a drive plate from, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also to mention the car I've got is a Ford 100e 1959 nearly completed ill post some pictures up thanks guys

    It's not the same thickness as the borg warner one. Only people that I can think might be able to help you are Rimmer brothers

    Yeah I already tried them they don't stock the spacer any more I think they do the borg warner spacer, but just my luck they don't do one for the gm box typical mate, cheers anyways

    Rimmer brothers were useless when I needed the exact information, I machined mine to inch and a quarter after loads of measuring

    Oh brilliant and was that for the gm180 spacer, what is the center hole measurement or do you get it machined to the same size as the torque converter flange so it sits inside it?

    I machines my own and done the centre the same as the BW65 centre which was slightly bigger
