    Hi guys,

cheers for all the help and pointers!

Had a go at it again this morning went back to basics to find a level to work from and found that it was me being a numpty and when I changed the regulator to a fuel king one I didn't reset the float levels from the old regulator despite having it at the same psi ....readjusted and is now running a treat!

Will check plugs in a few weeks to see if its running lean/rich

    Thanks again guys!
    Matt

Pleased to hear it Matt It's easy to start looking for obscure problems ( fate saves them all up for me ) but always best to check everything from basics.

Question stil stands re plugs by the way. Common mistake is that if you have a P6 enine and go to teh factors for new plugs. You get given SD1 plugs, because P6 isn't listed ....totally different heat , length , style etc .

Nope totally wrong They use L88Y or L92Y , one replaced the other to cure a high speed misfire but I can never remember which way round...oops .

BPR5ES are N9Y equivalents ( approc 1/4 inch longer on thread than L specs ) though I think most use BPR6ES in the later Rovers?
