    Rover v8 sarter motor

Am I right in thinking that the High Torque starters, for the Rover V8, have the solenoid under the starter body as opposed to the normal
    on the left hand side.

Just trying to make more room !!!

Anybody got one I could try???

I have successfully "re-clocked" one of those Powerlite starters. The end plate which acts as the mounting is separate to the starter motor so it can be rotated and new holes drilled so that the solenoid doesn't get in the way of a steering box, chassis or whatever.

Thanks Stu. I need to try one in and that may answer my problem of too many things wanting the same space.
