Just took a car in part exchange with Rover SD1 3.5l V8 and having oil pressure gauge problems. Car is running perfectly fine but the Smiths electric gauge isn't moving at all.
From what I can see the green and yellow wire on the top sender is connected to the gauge. Haven't yet located the final destination red, green and white wire on the lower sender.
From googling away I believe the following to be true
1. The oil pressure sender / transmitter is a single pronged sender.
2. The oil pressure safety switch is a 3 pronged switch.
So, it would appear that my sender and switch are wired incorrectly, anyone got any thoughts on this?
And can anyone confirm what should be installed where using the numbers below?
Also, I assume these work on ohms, does anyone know what readings the senders should be putting out?
