    Rust treatment

I have an Austin Ruby body with plenty rust.
I know I could send it off for soda blasting, but what are my alternatives?
I was hoping to sand it down and use some sort of rust converter product.

I have used Kurust by Hammerite on small bits in the past, but what recommendations do you have?

    Thanks in advance folks.
I may live in East London, I may have a number plate that reads "Chopt", but I do NOT use 6" wheel spacers!

De-Ox gel by Bilt Hamber actually removes rust and leaves the metal sand-blast clean. I used it extensively on my previous car. It isn't cheap but it is good. Clean loose rust and paint off and brush it on then cover with cling film for 24 hours. Scrape it off and re-use it afterwards. Hammerite do something similar but it isn't as good in my opinion.
