Shock Absorber Length @ Ride Height?

I am mounting some Pete & Jakes style shocks on the front of the pop, and I have no shock brackets in place yet. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the shock at ride height aren't simply half way between the open and closed dimensions? Can anyone confirm or correct me on this please? My shocks are 210mm (8 1/4") closed and 330mm (13") open. What should they be at ride height?
    Thanks in advance!

Set it up to use 1/3 up - 2/3rds down of available travel. So with 120mm available travel you would set it up with 80mm of shaft visble.

Thanks sir! that's ideal. I was sure that it wasn't just half way between the 2 but couldn't think what the proportions were. 250mm ride height it is then! Thanks very much.
