    SBC crank damper?

I need a new crank damper for my 350. The current one measures 6.75" but can I use an 8" one?

Does the engine have front mounts, if so I probably wont fit, also it might foul the water pump and pulley.

Can't remember how I found that out on mine maybe was a Chevy forum through google then when I removed the pan was almost obvious but I think most of the chevys are internally balanced, bound to be told that's crap shortly but all 4 I've had are and they range from 283 - 350's, maybe was the guy at real steal that's where I got my damper from

    Thumbs up

    Great link!

Question is why change? Perceived performance gain!?
