SBC Crankshaft Regrind or ditch ??

Crankshaft out of my 327ci SBC. It has spun a bearing, and looks like it has had a repair before.

So; opt for a regrind or a new one. How do you know when its too far gone?

Any decent engineering shop will measure the bearings and tell you if it's grindable or scrap.

If its only a cast crank you can often buy a brand new one nowadays for about the same price as a crank grind.
