    SBC dizzy question

    Hi,

I've just unstalled a 305 out of an 80s Firebird and I'm confronted by a four pin connector. Anyone know what each pin is or where I can find out?

    Cheers, Gary

I too have an HEI on mine but no 4 pin plug

Ive actually wired mine with a 12v ign live to the square part of the cap (to the right of the pic)

There's 2 terminals 1 is 12v ign live the other is for tacho (its embosed on the top of it) hope that helps

Mine is exactly the same, apparently it is for a magical box used with the injection system, so not required for a carbed car, if my memory serves me correctly, but don't cut any wires until this is confirmed.

    Cheers,

    Stu.

Guess it pays to wipe the dirt and grease off - it does say battery and tach on the square bit. Thanks for the input, guys.
