SBC learner - new and very tight (!) SBC crank damper

Nice n shiny Pro Street crank damper and nice n shiny crate motor - froze crank nose - got damper nice n warm - bit of WD40 - very gentle copper mallet tap went about quarter way on and then seemed extremely tight - not going to do anything violent till I get some feedback!
