which fram oil filter for a small block chevy 305ci
the filter i have has no markings but is approx 4in long.
I remember I used the ones for the small block trunks as they are twice as big length ways which = more oil more filter.. ask to see one...

Mr Jive if i went for the longer filter it looks like it will be just lower than my sump which is close enough to the ground,so don't want to risk catching the filter on Britains ever ****ty speed bumps,and ever increasing potholes.
I Think the filter Mr Jive is talking about is the Fram PH 13 Truck filter. I use these, they finish a reasonable distance above the base of the standard Chevy sump.

I used to swear by Fram filters back then but I've read lots of bad stuff about their current offerings .

I'm with Stitch...postings all over the net about Fram filters in the last couple of years. I'll only use K&N now.
