    good idea drilling and tapping it ian. as you found out the left and right side's have separate water jackets (that's why the water pump bolts to both sides of the block), hence the separate drain bungs.

    I know a guy who years ago drilled into 2 radiators on a mk1 escort fitting a square number plate to the front panel
