SOLO-TOW - are they still legal??

For anyone who remembers these from the 70/80's

......before crappy plastic bumpers became the norm, chap local to me has a mint one as picture for £150.

Since my Austin A70 will have a steel front bumper, it might be handy to drag it around with before I get it fully finished for the road, like back and forth to my painter/mot station etc....but not if they are not legal anymore.

Thoughts anyone......wondering if I could modify it with a pair of brackets on the car so it actually bolts on....

    TIA

if your a70 wheels are on the road technically it has to be moted, taxed and insured. make sure you have a light board on the a70 connected to the tow car to lessen the chance of a 'pull'.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.

Maximum weight for unbraked towing is 750kg INC frame. plus a sNeil points out, if the wheels are on the deck it must also be briefed up.
