Steering Column Rebuild, by who?... or replace, with what?

    hello,

im pretty sure my steering column is a 67-72 chevy, it has tilt and column shift. it also has a load of play in the gear selector, the bearings are knackered, the wiring not great etc.

does anyone in the UK rebuild these?

this is an exact reproduction of mine that i could get, £430 inc shipping, but it doesnt have very good reviews when you google search....
    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...2-sb/overview/

    any help is much appreciated!

There is a company currently advertising in Radio Caroline that does rebuilds on classic steering boxes. I cant remember what they are called and don't know whether they are any good but you could listen in on line (good music) untill you hear the advert. (Or next time I hear the advert I will take note of the name etc)

Goodness me mate you havnt heard of Radio Caroline?
It was a Pirate radio ship in the sixties and kept going right into the nineties, it's now legal and broadcasts from the ship on (moored on the Essex coast) on AM radio but it is also on DAB and online (you will need that if you are in Wigan) I imagine that the steering box company will be in East Anglia somwhere.

In the States they use the motorhome column to get the tilt steering on to the trucks and I saw this on ebay:

    How to:
