    Steering draglink info required

Hi all, did anything English/European/easily available use a ball type end on the pitman arm/spindle??

Struggling to get a Willys link, so I need something more readily available with the female ends...

Still doing all the shit I used to ;-)

Hey Guy, been a while since I saw a stock front end on a Willys but could you A; Make a triangular steering arm to bolt onto the stub axle in the same manner as they build them for the Ford axle. You could weld the taper off any common vehicle inside the triangle part.

B; Find a 70's G60 Patrol and check it out as they used a similar arm from steering pitman arm to front hub.

C, Fit a centre steer rack on a cradle behind the beam axle and have luverly steering forever.

Would grinding the ball off and drilling for a tre or heim joint count as too much of a modification?

What diameter is the ball? 30s through late 50s Chevy trucks have adjustable ball joints on track rods and drag liinks that would be worth a look; should be plenty of them around with the number of trucks that have been clipped over here in the UK.

But putting a tapered hole in the Pitman and/or steering arm for a modern ball joint wouldn't be too difficult, I did this one for my brother's truck.

Kev, I need a draglink to go between the pitman arm and the arm on the spindle, it has a ball on each.

To all the others I don't want to modify the steering, just join it up :-)

'49 F1 has the same style of fittings.
The ball bolts on to the pitman arm so if you need to change it, it would still appear stock.
