    Steering issue MK2 consul 1959

Hi Guy's, I am looking into messing with a mk2 Consul, it has the straight 4 engine and a steering box! I have every intention of replacing the engine to something a little more upbeat! Is it true the best way to do a rack and pinion conversion is to use the Metro rack and a triumph 2000 column, or.... a Capri steering set up? is it this easy or will there be complications, such as turning right and my wheels fall off!!!!
anyone done this modification or know someone who has? or with anything modern? Cheers!

I bought my consul already converted however it'll be in bits shortly, so look out on my build thread and you can see how it's been done. Alternatively look on youtube under Mk2 consul hot rod and there a video of the original build.
