    Hi All,

How does a scavenger type supercharger work? How would you fit it to your engine?

    Cheers,

    Stu.

The good o'l r034 is a scavenger type, to fit to your engine would involve having the bottom milled of and matched to a plate on a modded inlet,
been looking on fleabay have we ?

Yes, yes we have. It's cheap, so even if I don't use it straight away then it's there for the future.

    Cheers,

    Stu.

If your talking about one for your 305 then then you'd be better sticking with a BM/Holley baby blower or a centrifugal vortec type but they would be more expensive but there's a reason you only see those little blowers on little motors

Personally I'd steer you towards a junkyard turbo setup as you shouldn't need to farm out any machining and therefore keeping the cost lower, if you can weld you could fab your own system. You could modify a double pumper Holley yourself for blow through as well. Register on http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php and look in the DIY section but be prepared for your mind to get carried away.

There's no reason why you couldn't build the 305 on 8 psi to put out 450 flywheel hp on a reasonable budget if you keep your eye out for deals.

No worries Stu, you have my details so we can catch up sometime, the engine for the Morris will be here in about a month and it need to be opened and checked so that might be a good time to pop around.

Yeah you need to be careful so you don't buy **** several times until you get to the right suitable part.... Get a plan together first and then starting buying bits. I know your on a budget so have a read on Stock Car Racing and Circle track magazines websites, good budget build info, only naturally aspirated but still it's quite focusing.

What are your HP and ET/MPH goals with the Cortina?

    Gotzy
