    trailer tyre pressures

    ive just bought a brian james car transporter trailer. its a 2000kg trailer with 165x13 tyres what pressure should I inflate them to?

    depends how much weight you have on it.

    i run mine quite soft due to the car not being very heavy and the trailers very sturdy..30 psi suffices for me (14" 8ply tyres)

    are the tyres extra load or commercial? if so they can be inflated to higher pressures than normal car tyres. having worked on commercial vehicles for years i found tyres run hotter if inflated to a lower pressure than the sidewall recommendation. just my 2 pence worth.

    8 ply commercial tyres are fitted .

    They can go to 90psi but if you can run less they won't puncture as quick, I usually run around 60-70, so basically it depends on the load .
