    Ultrasonic cleaner

The wife has been clearing out the cupboards and throwing away unwanted junk.
I stopped her just before she threw out a small ultrasonic cleaner (that she used to use for cleaning her chiropody instruments) thinking that it would be useful for cleaning small car parts e.g spark plugs and carburetor bits.
The basket in the cleaner looks like it's big enough to hold eight spark plugs.
My question is do any of you guys use ultarasonic cleaning, what parts have you cleaned successfully and what's a good cleaning fluid to use ?
    Thanks !

Was given a small cheapie one, it did an OK job of cleaning manky carb jets. Though tbh wasn't anything that couldn't have been done by hand, a big one could be good - a mate bought one and offers a carb body cleaning service.

We use Deb Janitol Rapide in ours, Deb Ltd. are in Derbyshire which would work on the Google.

It's an alkaline based cleaner/degreaser which we dilute with water.

    Hope this helps...???

Bosch dealers used to offer an Ultrasonic cleaning service, its really good and labour un-intensive so you can drink tea whilst it cleans !
