We have an ASNU ultrasonic injector cleaner, and also an ultrasonic cleaning bath. In the ultrasonic bath we mostly clean and refurbish carburettors.. its perfect for getting into the galleries etc where normal cleaning never reaches.. also jets come out looking like new. We have also used it for some engine parts e.g. oil pumps, pistons, rods, nuts/bolts etc.. given a pre clean in the engine degreaser first of course.. saves me fluid getting too sh*tty..

we may look into buying a larger bath soon, which would be ideal for larger parts... cylinder heads, oil coolers etc.

Carb ultrasonic cleaning is a service we offer, more info on our website.

I used to work in research and used an ultrasonic bath all the time. Used to use Carbon Tetrachloride (THere was a trade name, but I can't remember as it was 20 years ago!) Carbon tet is prolly illegal now...............
If I wasn't meant to go that fast, the pedal would only go half way!

3l is very small, buy as big as you can afford.
I bought a 20 litre with 2 friends at 60 euros each, can take a bank of 4 bike carbs, also heats the liquid

Are there any big enough for a fella to get in to? After a day laying under the car, this might be easier than asking the missus to scrub my back

Also good for cleaning out dpf filters on modern diesels, unsure of the chemical used.
