    Unknown sender in my head???

I thought it was an oil pressure switch but when I tried to order one was told that they're not fitted in the heads only the block.
Its a 3/8 x 1/2 unc with a 3/4 hex head and a single male spade terminal (tip to tip only 1" long)

Its fitted to my 79 305 (don't laugh) in the rear of the right hand head (viewed from inside the car)

Any ideas what it might be???

    Thanks in advance, bunj.

Water sender for either gauge or possibly fan depending upon build.

Sounds like water temperature sender, a lot of senders are 1/8" NPT so you have to use a 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" NPT adaptor to fit into the head.

I've got a much larger sender in the middle of exhaust ports 3 and 5 which I thought was for water temp, Suppose its makes sense to have another sender (maybe fan switch or something) Ill just plug it and use the point on the back of the block for switch and pressure sender.

    Cheers all, Bunj.
