V8 Electric cutouts from China. Any experience??

Looking at various options to make my '66 Chevy C10 more anti social.

One option is having a pair of cutouts fitted to the headers to then selectively terrorize cats n dogs etc.

These are on Evilbay, from China. Price per side with free delivery.

3" ELECTRONIC EXHAUST CUT OUT VALVE/SWITCH/Y-PIPE | eBay

My question is, has anyone used them before, what is the quality and longivity of these parts??

I have no access to anything like this in the UK.

    Thanks for your replies

I wouldn't trust them to last long at all really mate. The motors burn out very quick. Driftworks sell some that are probably the best around but again the troubles with the heat getting to the motors. Can't really go wrong with manual cable ones mate.

Sounds like a fair comment, and the USA forum guys also mention failure due to heat etc.

So maybe I need to look at manual.

After all, its not 5 times a day you use it.
