    Vacuum brain storming.

Well...LOOOOONG story, some already covered on here but I'm pretty sure I've got to the bottom of the problems with the A engine. The cam is only making 16inches of vacuum. This is upsetting the fuel pressure regulator on the injection and making it run very rich at bottom end. I have an adjustable reg on there but if I turn it down to cure the bottom end richness it's going to run lean top end.

It's also not allowing the torque\convertor lock up vaccum switch to work but I can buy an adjustable switch to sort that one.

I know how to fix it but it's all a bit troublesome / complicated by using a 12volt vacuum pump , reservoir and transit or taxi auto throttle 'shuttle'.

So Im looking for a simpler /smaller solution .I can improve the bottom end richness by introducing a controlled air leak into the manifold via one of the takeoffs but need to close it off at higher revs.

Bugger, while typing this the solution has come to me , it's bit electrical still though so any mechanical ideas welcome still .

My electrical solution is another vacuum operated switch operating an electrical anti run on valve that shuts when power source is switched off.

Better way would be to increase the vacuum seen by the Fuel Pressure regulator though.

I was going to contact you next Guy, to see if you could get any adjustable vacuum switches for my electrical version.

Nope, apart from turbo or supercharging , I've used them in carbed motors behind autos and they are great. Short duration ,loads of lift .Besides that if that are that difficult to make work I'll simply HAVE to do it now !!
