Got the buts off fleabay Guy, nice n cheapI did look on the other site to see if they did the bits but they didn't.
I do need to pay you for the Aeroquip hose tho - sorry! been madness at work this week
Gerry, I thought brass would be ok? got a mandrel bender for it and thought I could heat it to anneal it first? I don't need sharp bends just needs to follow the box/bellhousing angle and bellhousing/inlet angle, silicone hose after that both ends.
Brake pipe (got a load here) is 2mm smaller O.D than the fittings both ends (modulator and inlet fittings)
Just tried bending the brass tube and got a lovely 90 degree bend with no issues or cracking
Good result! Mine is rubber tube but with a wall thickness the same as the bore. I can't measure it as the car's not here. Works fine but I bet yours will look soooo much better!
If I wasn't meant to go that fast, the pedal would only go half way!
6mm x 1mm bundy tube in stock at £3 per metre, bendable by hand or with a normal brake pipe bender...
Fueled by Jim and Luckies.
Still doing all the shit I used to ;-)
^^^^Doh! that would have been ideal.
I searched all over the net for tubing, could not find anything (except copper) longer than 600-900mm except the brass tube in B&Q.
Never mind, the brass looks nice n shiny
This is how it looked after bending up;
and fitted to gearbox;
and plumbed to inlet manifold.
Still need to T into this bit for the vacuum gauge.
As I've said before, you only have to ask...
p.s. we sell pushin fittings too...
Looks good though.
