    When we had a stock pop earlier in the year, I found if you just let off the throttle momentarliy it was enough to get them accross the screen at high (sic) speeds.

    On the underside of the vacuum motor there is a air intake port. Attach a length of hose to this port and place the other end into a container of regular DOT3 brake fluid. Start engine and turn on wipers. Let the engine suck about 1/4 pint of the fluid through the motor into the engine. Keep the windshield lubricated with a spray of water. You may have to manually aid the wipers for the first couple of strokes. If the motor is savable this will do it. If not you will have to replace it. WARNING... Engine will smoke profusely for about 15 minutes.

    Followed your instructions and have wipers !!!! But the smoke was unbelievable a neighbour came to see if the garage was on fire !
