    valve spring fitment ?

Can anyone hear tell me if it's possible on a chevy 350 to fit a valve spring with an outer diameter of 1.26 on a cylinder head with a spring seat diameter of 1.540 safely? I wouldn't want the springs to dance around in operation.

I may have noticed your posting and photos on Hotrodders,There a few ways to set up your spring s , firstly measure the valve guide outside Diameter ,then measure the inside Diameter of your springs, then have a look at Competition products USA site , they sell spring seats (spring locators ) Also cups that hold the out side of the springs and located by the valve guide in many sizes ,usually 60 thou thick.
But to answer your question , yes it is OK to use smaller Diameter springs ,

It is nice to see some reconise able name on these aftermarket heads, OK if you have access to a machine shop and then replace the guides and have all the seats redone ETC.ETC. Then the no name brand may well be useable. Brodix have some very nice and well proven heads .
