vw camper van steering wheel......i think??

so i bought a model b coupe & i like the car, hate the steering wheel...., its an after market one all wood rim & chrome centre, ok if you have a ten year old mg, but looks wrong, the centre bit is a metal braket the wheel bolts to, now i have a mountney wheel i'd like to use & the centre on the model b is too small so i need a mountney centre to fit my wheel too, but life is never simple, as dont know what the spline bit is off of, the steering box is vw camper, it said in the write up when i bought it, so is it safe to assume the spline bit is from the same camper, looked on ebay & there are several vw camper steering bosses, so dont know what year i need, has anyone got a wheel or centre nearby to me i can try to see so i get the one i need???
    mike

the top of the steering columnhas been cut so i have about 12 inches of it with a uj mounted to it, the uj is then attached so metal bar or original column? it then goes though a rubber bellow & bolts on to a flange on the steering box i'm assuming the top of the column was once part of the camper van column...
ytied a vw beetle wheel & it had coarse splines like mine but the hole was bigger...

thanks for the information, dont want to make a plate as the steering wheel mounting braket, dont look that great & i need to bring the wheel a bit nearer to me so a mountney boss would be ideal & simple as long as i buy the correct one....
