    What axle is this?

    Hi All,

I know it came off a fox bodied Mustang, but I have been asked the question is it a 9" or an 8.8? Can someone please clarify

    Cheers,

    Stu.

Thats an 8in axle, but it didn't come from a Fox body Mustang! They had rear loading 7.5 or 8.8 axles. It also looks like it has leaf spring perches, & Foxes had coil springs.
I'd say Mustang II as it looks to have 4 stud axles.
    I've been next in line,
    I've been next to nothing,
I've been next to bye standers, That shoulda said something.................

It MIGHT have! they were factory fitted in some cars (mine has one!) you can tell by holding one brake drum & have someone turn the other, if it turns whilst the one your hold don't then its not....... unless its totally worn out!
