    although the fishing line technique is as reliable as modern technology for setting up steering & suspension geometry & even when building/repairing tube chassis', you're only as accurate as your mesure & eye sight. modern technology can measure to a finer degree. they both work well, but it's also down to personal preference.yes modern technology is quicker from the start & the fishing line technique normally takes a few attempt to get spot on, but even 1st attempts will get you in the right ballpark, even if you take it to a garage later for fine tuning (& advisable to double check at a garage anyway)
