    What running gear?

Hi all, I've got a pop which i'm subtly modding. It has a 1300 xflow going in with 4 speed box'. I want to keep it as stock looking as possible as the steel is good. Will the rear axle take the extra if little grunt from the xflow? I know the prop will have to be shortened etc. I have a set of chevette hubs and brakes from a previous project, can i get these to fit without major work or expense? I also have the rear axle which would need narrowing. But would definitely take the power, and clear a load of stuff from the shed. Any advice would be good. Cheers

Back axle isn't prop driven it uses a torque tube and were weak with a standard Pop engine ! Nope, through teh Chevette hubs away ,you want Anglia, Marina or Triumph Herald Spitfire (NOT GT6 / Vittesse) IF you plan on keeping the stock front axle and steering.

What wheels and tyres do you want to run as all that decides how you do things ,no good getting to the end of the build and can't get rims to suit.

Bugger! I want to retain the front end as far as possible. Steel wheels and hub caps all round and standard rear arches as well. Chevette used a torque tube but if hubs are no use then i won't be bothering with that idea.

The brakes mentioned WILL fit onto the standard Pop front suspension with a little juggling of bearings and a small spacer.

Oops , just thought, we are talking sit up and beg Pop not later 'flat sided 100E style ?
