    does look like a rough finish there. Do you have a straight on shot? -it's very difficult to see how close the head face is to the inlet valve in the ones you've put up.

    Don't think so, the mechanic said he couldn't see any cracks, but the old gaskets are still partially attached, it might be that you are looking at...

    ( I don't know what you mean by a straight on shot...) from the ends, the top or the bottom?
